“Conservation equivalency sucks,” was Peter jenkins’ opener, which certainly seized the crowd’s attention at the monthly Narragansett Surfcasters meeting. Surfcasting author Dennis Zambrotta followed with stories of fishing Block Island for big bass from decades past and this past Fall.
Surfcasting Around the Block II gathers stories and counsel from many of these characters, combines them with his personal anecdotes then ferries readers to Aquidneck Island for similar beaches and potentials. This is a welcomed return to the island and to his friends who live and love to catch fish.
Everett Littlefield’s epic Spring passing was a celebration of a good man who lived life on his own terms, surrounded each day by his family, on the island home he loved. And when he was laid to rest, he cheered us on with biblical rains, storm force winds and memories to last another lifetime. So long Mr. Littlefield.
