Female Fly Fishers And The Flat River is a celebration of increasing female participation in fishing and the return of a lovely RI river, freed from her stone confines. Trout Unlimited is all over us this week and I'm glad to have them.
Women's Herstory Month is the right time to celebrate, praise and thank some of the amazing women who help shape our waters and worlds. We have hardly the space to thank them all but these women deserve some time in the Fish Wrap spotlight.
Celebrating at URI's Mosby House, I learned the joy of being with women who choose to lead on the day our courts erased their right to choose. Some days it feels like our country is burning but some other days, we are blessed by the company of people who simply amaze us.
